The Treasury of David by Charles Spurgeon – a valuable collection of reflections on each psalm from the 19th-century preacher
Psalms: Layer by Layer, which is a more academic resource if you want to dig deeper into the psalms (the overview videos and expanded paraphrases are especially valuable)

Sung psalms
The Psalms were originally written to be sung, and it is still good for God’s people to sing the psalms as well as reading them. Some resources you could look at:
The Psalms Sung – 600 different recordings of psalms. Look through the different psalm books to see the recordings available.
Seedbed Psalter – This has a setting for every psalm, with a few different tune options so you can sing along!
On YouTube and Spotify, you’ll find several groups recording contemporary versions of psalms, including Sons of Korah, The Corner Room and Poor Bishop Hooper

Psalms by the Day (Alec Motyer) – a helpful devotional guide to the psalms, with lots of good insights. Available as hardback and eBook from 10ofThose
Psalms: From Suffering to Glory (Philip Eveson) – an accessible and rich commentary on the psalms, available as a paperback from 10ofThose
Psalms for You (Christopher Ash) – this does not cover every psalm, but gives examples of how to understand and learn from different types of psalms. Available as paperback and eBook from The Good Book Company
How to Read the Psalms (Tremper Longman III) – a good book if you want to think more deeply about the poetry and truths of the psalms. Available as paperback from Eden

BibleGateway – An easy way to search the Bible in multiple translations, for example if you want to find all the mentions of David in the New Testament.
BibleHub – A great resource for quickly comparing Bible translations and studying cross references
Biblia.com – A free online resource which includes some study notes and other resources
Blue Letter Bible – This gives access to a lot of older Bible commentaries and dictionaries.
Topical Bible – A good starting point for quickly finding passages related to a specific topic, which you can then prayerfully study in more detail.
Sermon apps
As well as the monthly suggestions for each book, there are a number of apps that have large libraries of sermons, talks and Bible studies. A few that our members have found useful:
